Well, at least it is on a 750i, which means they are pretty likely able to afford any M car.....

But still, retarded is retarded....

i dunno almost looks like the guy was giving homage to the ///M, not pretending to be one. Maybe he owns a garage of 'em at home?

Not saying I condone it, but it's not like stripped off the 50i and attempted to MAKE it a M7

Sad someone with a car worth about $100K needs to act like a poseur.

The main reason he bought the car was probably to feed his need to be admired. His/her thirst may never be quenched.

Yeah, the 7 Series is such a nice car. I don't know why you would need to add an "M" badge to feel better about it. It's one of the best "gentleman's cars" there is.

I'm gonna guess the person prob got a used 750i (these used 7 series don't worth crap.. resale on them is horrible so u can pick one up cheap) and just wanna be gangsta w/ the M badge?

And if he/she can, in fact, afford a new 7 series yet is doing this?... then he/she is a retard.

I gotta say though, this got me thinking.. BMW's two closest competitors, Audi and Benz, both have sport and luxury variants of their luxury car flagship, Audi with the A8 W12 and S8 vs. Benz with the S600 and S63/65.

BMW just has the 760. As stupid as the ///M badge may be, wouldn't an actual M7 make sense? to compete with the S8 and S63 at least

You obviously didn't see the comparo done between the 760i and the S63 AMG, did you? Apologies for not remembering which auto show it was.

The 760i is the most powerful, fastest car BMW makes right now, in straight-line speed anyway. Kept pace with the S63 and beat it in some catagories.

Thats great and all, but many S series (audi) and AMG buyers care little about the performance aspect. They just want their friends to know they have the best.

Meh...

Don't they make //M sport 7's now? BMW's gone a little far with the whole "M" marketing thing.

M sports on every model, M sport X3's....Hell we even have X5/6 M's now and an M1.

Everyone's trying to get in on the M badge.....

IMO, if someone doesn't know that the 760i is the best (in terms of price, power, luxury, etc.), then he doesn't need to know.

The 760's got a Turbo V-12 which lays down 535HP and 550 Tq... Compared with the Audi and Mercedes, it's hardly "just" the 760.
