speaking of blendtec blenders... I've seen these at robeks. I'm thinking about picking one up since I spend on avg $20-30 dollars a week on smoothies. Have you guys made smoothes at home? Does it taste like the real deal such as jamba robeks etc.?

I have a $20 blender from Walmart, and I don't see that blender making my smoothies any better. That is generally a commercial blender (its what they use in starbucks).

I've never paid $5 for a smoothie, so I dont know what they taste like.

Get some frozen berries from the freezer isle (yummy, and doesn't water your shit down like ice), vanilla yogurt, milk, and your good to go. You can also toss in whatever fresh fruit you have laying around but I think it tastes better with the frozen berries.
