Need help with my laptop!
I recently bought a Dell laptop. Everything works fine except whenever I want to play a video (youtube, my own personal videos, anything video) the screen freezes...so I have to do the "ctrl+alt+del" to close everything and start again.
WTF? I ran my Norton 360 virus scan and nothing is coming up. I don't know what to do....any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Kinda hard to diagnose over the net. Assuming "LA" means Los Angeles and not Louisiana I can take a look at it for you over Starbucks or something if you wish.
Off the top of my head I'd say it's most likely a driver issue though since it's happening to your personal videos as well. FWIW I deal with this type of shit for a living.

Short answer...get a MAC.
Seriously, what video player are you using? Could be a codec issue. You may want to start by clearing everything from your 'temp' folder. You likely have a bunch of 'video' related temp files created especially since you have had to three finger solute so many times. Check for updates to your video player, better yet remove it and reinstall. |

I would try to uninstall the plugin, clear the temp folder, then reinstall again.
There's no need to get a mac just because you have a problem with your pc, as other might suggest. All computers have problems. I have PC all my life and never have an issue I can't deal with. Honestly, I have more problems working with my itune/iphone than anything else. |
