Virus Notice from M3 Torque

Recently replied to a post and received a pm from: "M3 Torque - The M Power Forums" <neil@domino.org> warning of a detected virus and directing me to a site which appears to do a rapid scan of my hard drive and recommends I download a software program to eliminate the detected multiple viruses.

1. I'm extremely carefull about downloading any software.
2. My McAfee has not detected any problems after multiple scans.

Is this for real or a ploy to infect my computer? Thanks

Agreed, didn't click. Posted here to verify if real, or if a scam, to alert the admins.

This isn't "M3 Torque - The M Power Forums" nor does the domino.org domain have anything to do with this site.

In general pop up ads that pretend to do a virus scan of ure computer are fake
