Can't we all just get along?
This forum is already pretty exclusive with all previous generations of 3-series and models of BMW's excluded. |

I think there should be a separation within E90post... A general E90/91 sedan/touring forum, and E92/E93 Coupe/vert forum...
I dont say create a whole new board, but I agree with ADHD... Lets have some separation between the two... I am getting tired of hearing 335 coupe posts |

this has been discussed before, there has been no real issues of having e90 and e92 on the same board so far. and the cars are almost identical (except exterior obviously) as mark has said before.

C'mon guys show some unity... The cars are almost the same. I see no reason for two separate forums except maybe for pics. 95% of everything else applies to owners of both.. My e46 was a coupe and now I'm in an e90sedan.. I love e90post, but there was none of this banter on the e46 forum.. As a matter of fact, when I posted on there that I moved to the e90, I received nothing but congrats and good luck.. No one should ever insult anyone else's bimmer- that should be grounds for being banned IMO! e92's are in the limelight right now b/c they are newer. Once all of the variations have been on the market for a while, it will all even out...

It just gets annoying when every other day a member makes a new thread about seeing an E92 for the first time. It'd be nice if all those threads were merged, but I don't think that's gonna happen

e90post.com is for Bimmers in the e90's. Let's not get too specific. The sedans and the coupes share most of the same mechanical, electrical and feel of eachother. Can't we all just get along.

I asked the admins regarding this a while ago. They don't want to do it.
Its not that I hate or sick of seeing E92 posts, they are actually very entertaining to read. I might be a E93 vert owner soon, so why would I dislike the posts regarding the coupes. Its just the fact that it'll be much more cleaned up and easy to find information. "E90 Sedan / E91 Touring forum" and "E92 Coupe / E92 Vert" forum will be great. If you want to talk about E90s, go to E90 section. If you want to talk about E92, go to E92 section. How easy is that. Our "General forum" is a total mess right now. like me!!

Can anyone give me an example of a topic that would be relevent only to an e92 owner and not an e90 owner ? In theory it sounds ok to separate the two, but I cant think of any real life examples of how that would benfit our community to separate the two. Topics will be repeated doubly between the two sections and will generally be a pain to get to the information you need.
Only threads that have to do with specific cosmetic changes would be different between the two cars (ie "what kind of hood or trunk lip or add on should i put on my car, etc etc". And for those types of topics, usually any owners input is valuable regardless if they drive a pinto or a mclaren) |

The 335i just came out, I think thats the reason for all the E92 posts. With time, it will pass. I myself enjoy seeing all of them.
