I'm no expect of dragstrips or the whole rollout deal that produces these amazing times. The only thing I do know is this particular ZR-1 didn't spin at all, that almost as amazing as the time it did because this amount of power and torque in such a light car those street tyres should be going wild I would have though.

Probably those members like PencilGeek will pipe up and say I am talking rubbish but I am amazing there's only a churp from the tyres.

That guy is obviously very talented at launching and feathering the clutch. ZR-1's (and even Z06's for that fact) are legit performers at the strip .

That track was very well prepared I could hear it. They VHT'd the hell out of the launch pad. It sounded like he was driving on glue and that is the only way any car on slicks or street tires is going to pull good times. That track is also a very low altitude track at 31ft above sea level so with cool air and low humidity we are talking close to -1000ft elevation which makes for serious fast times on a great track with a great driver.

MIR in the late fall or early spring simply cant be beat. amazingly well prepped track and fast as hell w sub 0 DA's.

I figured that was Jamie but apparently it wasnt, impressed. jamie Furman is wellllll known to be an amazing driver. He holds multiple bone stock records for corvette's and vipers, all very hard to launch on street tire cars.

I'll attest to the speed available at MIR.

EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE TO ME is Jamie's 10.89 I believe bone stock Z06 run.

.thought it was a guy called ranger in the z06 and thought the record was a 10.9 which is insane...either way...i wish i could get one of these guys to drive my car at the strip and see what they could do.

and it says many other zr1 were trapping at near those times and speeds
