Transfăgărăşan
I hit up the Transfăgărăşan in Romania a few months ago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfăgărăşan). Unfortunately it was really foggy. I was also driving a rented Toyota Avensis. It was still pretty fun, and the Avensis didn't handle half bad for a FWD. The electronic throttle took a lot of getting used to though because a little bit of foot pressure seemed to send it WOT - it made double-clutching really difficult.
It cleared up in about two hours, but I was on a tight driving schedule or I would have gone for another run. If it wasn't foggy and I was alone in the car, I would have been more aggressive on the drive. The Navigon really helped out because I could anticipate the corners. My favorite part was this section: I wish I had my e92 with me but at the same time I'm glad I didn't; if I did, I might not have it anymore
