Halo around Moon (Pics)

Rare to see a halo around the moon, it was barley noticeable by eye, even harder to photograph. I honestly don't know how to use my camera at night such as ISO, shutter speeds, etc. yet.

i saw something like this one night, except it was a rainbow halo. couldnt capture it with my camera though

I've been seeing em like every other night lately. My friend says it indicates a storm coming in from the water. Idk.

solar flares that are reflecting off the moon's surface. should reach here around 2012.

Huh? No. Halos are caused by ice crystals in the earth's atmosphere.

And light and particles from solar flares do not have to bounce off the moon to reach earth.

No its snot. Halos are caused by all the urine and poop that all the Apollo and Soyuz and space shuttle missions discharge....ice crystals...what a cyber genius

Halos are caused by thin cirrus or altostratus clouds. They are indicative of an approaching system just as any lowering of cloud bases (cirrus first, then altostratus, then stratus then rain).
