Shopping carts: the enemy of of all

Today, I had to sprint halfway across the parking lot to stop a shopping cart from hitting my car

I wish I saw who's it was.. I'm just glad my car was in my line of sight and I saw the damn cart....

There should be a law about being irresponsible with one's cart(s)

they need to have brakes on the shopping carts. they actually have that somewhere, the only way the shopping cart can go is when you pull a lever. kinda like on a lawn mower

That's how it is in Bulgaria. If the poorest country in Europe can have it, why can't we have it in the US?

Because people would be confused on how to use them.

Have you seen Americans at foreign airports try to push the carts?
They get lost and confused...

And thing is, I parked in a semi-corner ish so it'd be far away.. guess it wasnt enough

the problem about parking far away is the cart has a lot more room to get a head start, and due to the cart/car magnetic property, likely to leave a giant dent. the problem about parking close is door dings and the soccer mom corralling her kids while the cart starts rolling out of her view. the real problem, like you said, is the cart.
