New law makes speeding a felony
Arnold just signed into law a bill that makes illegal speeding a felony. Im not sure if all speeding violations are considered felonies but I did hear that if you hurt someone while involved in a speed contest (aka races), you're punishable by up to 6 months in a state prison and $1000 fine.
While this is somewhat good, it makes me paranoid about speeding now...What are your thoughts?? |

F da police. Yeah right. JK. I speed on occasion in areas that are extremely familiar. Either that, or take it on a race track. Can you define "speeding"
Speeding x number of miles over the speed limit, speeding on the street, speeding on the freeway? ________ Yamaha XT500 ________ Honda CR125R ________ Honda CBR900RR ________ Honda vt750cd ________ XXXTUBE.COM Last edited by HappyG; 05-17-2011 at 03:32 AM.. |

I've tried to look it up but couldnt find anything. I just heard it on the news a few hours ago. Im asking myself the same questions you are. Im pretty sure that only if you're racing though.

I speed everyday pretty much, but never have raced. If they do have to serve time though it would be in jail because prison is a year or more.

yeah prison is 1 + year. But if you're put in a state prison, it still counts as prison. |

Governer Schwarzenegger needs to then sign into law that anyone operating a motorcycle without a proper license and ends up hurting oneself would receive a felony charge, face the prospect of State prison for 6 months and a $1000 fine.

I feel bad for drivers out in CA, luckily there's no such law in NYC. Damn NYC gov is already killing drivers with $100 + plus fines for double parking. Can you believe you can get a ticket parking infront of a friend's garage. F**king stupid traffic laws. TO all law makers, police, traffic and sanitation dept please don't rob us when city doesn't have money. what you should do is stop asking for those damn high raises!!!
