M3 or 330? Please help guys

Hi

I am looking at the following 2 cars and was really appreciate some help/advice please.

BMW 330 sport (2002, 24k on clock) also has M stickers on for some reason?

BMW M3 e46. (2001, 90k on clock)

Please can you tell me what the value of these cars are, which one you would go for and anything else you can think of

Also what is the e46? does it add value to a normal m3?

Please help thank you
Richard

I feel like you'd be dumping a ton of cash into the M3 seeing as it's nearly tipping the 100k point.

The E46 330i probably has the ZHP package with the M-Sport stuff. That's the only way I could see it having the //M emblems.

Dude if you're in the Isle Of Man it should be about £11 - £12 K but I think you'd be mad to buy one at 90,000 miles. Another £4K - £5K would get you a sub 50,000 mile model which would be sound. That or get the 330i. PS: E46 is the BMW model designation (current 3 series is E90 etc).

24k miles on a 7 year old car, you'd be a fool not to swoop on that.. (unless theyre asking like $30k for it)

i have a 330i 2003. great daily. never been an e46 m3 fan.

you may want to look at e36 m3's. great cars and they are below 10k for the most part in the states. most will have 100k miles and you will need to put parts on them. mine sold for 12k as a fully prepped STU car in the last month, so you know what to pay for a modded car in good shape.

how much is each going for?

if the M3 is around $10k, and the 330 is like 15k, I'd say its worth the M3.
with that 5k, you can spend on repairs etc that the M3 will have.

But again, it depends on their prices...

and the 330 has very low miles.. you sure no odometer roll back(s)?

I don't have any doubts that the M3 can survive way past 90k miles, the only thing is that repairs will be more frequent.

I'm certain the the ZHP 330i wasn't introduced until like March or April of 03' so you might want to make sure it is in fact a ZHP. It could have the M-Tech I kit, which was an option for the Sport Package back then. If the 330 headlights point up towards the fenders than its a facelifted 330i Sport, if the corner lights face down then its an M-Tech I kit double check things before you buy. Use KBB, Nada, or Edmunds.com to get an appraisal for the cars. GL on the buy!!

If you plan on "spirited" driving... go for the M3, the repairs will come with any car you're going to drive "hard". If you're looking for a nice daily driver than the 330 should do that plenty fine.
