Has anyone ever ranked the fastest/quickest stock BMWs?

Has there ever been a thread on here or elsewhere where someone has listed the fastest/quickest BMWs in their stock form? Is the 335i the fastest non-M Bimmer? I know that the 550i, 760 and the 650i all have much more power, but they also weigh a lot more. Is the M6 the fastest BMW out there?

Just kind of curious. It would be interesting to see the list.

From what I remember from looking at manufacture spec 0-60 times the M6/M5 are the fastest, followed by the M3, then Z M, then 335i/550i.

That is just 0-60 though and I could be wrong, it is just what I remember reading when comparing. Remember there is a lot more to "fastest" though around a track or something than just 0-60 times.

I would assume that a 135i would be the fastest by a hair.

The new 550i will probably be the fastest once it has that TTV8.

The M5 and M6 will be faster in straight line but the M3 will probably be the fastest all around car.

Non-stock, would be the 135i.

Nice list, but the X3 looks out of place in there. X5 4.8 should be slotted in right above the X3.

I had no idea the new Z4 was running 5 seconds flat in the 0-60. Wow, that's pretty quick!

Just got a new magazine (forget if it was Automobile or C&D or some other) that tested the Z4 35i at 4.8 seconds.

On an unrelated note, Boxster S, 4.1!

Nice. BMW's numbers are always conservative.

I'm very impressed by the 750i time if that's correct. Imagine being in your 550i and getting pulled by someone in a 750i.

the 750i talked about here is the new TT v8 whereas the 550i is the old NA v8. Now imagine what a TT 550i can do
