How fast really is an F1 car compared to street cars?

Kind of a fun video. Those are old cars too, F1 cars are even faster now. Edit: Found this one too. Ya, I'm bored and should probably go to sleep http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...84931270105691

Nice.
The second one is cool too, although I saw it as part of the whole episode before. Did you ever see the M5 vs. Ferrari F430? It's part of one of Clarkson's dvds. |

Yeah nice but the Ferrari isn't a 360 modena, looks like a 550 maranello

The ending of that first video seems a bit too choreographed... It's a bit too convenient how they all are overtaking each other right at the finish line.

http://www.formula-palmer-audi.com/ It wasn't the full spec ... but it still did 0-60 in 3.4 secs. I drove it on a corporate track day: http://www.palmersport.com/cars_audi.htm We drove a lot of fast cars on the day (a can be seen on the website) but the FPA was the most incredible. What struck me most was that it did not feel that fast ... the acceleration was amazing, but the whole package was so capable and so easy to drive that it felt much less wild than a 'normal' car. The braking was awesome, and the steering was equally amazing - so sharp and purposeful. The grip also was incredible, allowing seriously fast cornering without any squealing tyres. Anyway ... a Formula one car must be like this - times 100. So it's really not that surprising to see just how easily it eclipses the ferrari. Elsewhere on the forum I posted some evo magazine test times for road cars which were taken on the same track on which I drive the FPA. Some of the experienced amateurs (not me) were lapping the FPA faster than EVO lapped a carrera GT - for me that illustrates the ability of open wheeled cars in general. |

Nice vid.
If I made one it would be: BMW 330i VS Yugo VS Kid on a bike!
