Please Post your story of kindness, Inspiration or Hope!
Hey Everyone,
A group of us are currently working on a project that will help individuals heal through the art of storytelling. I was wondering if anyone of you had any stories you would like to submit either short or long. We are hoping that people would read these and gain some kind of benefit from it and provide them with motivation and satisfaction please post something small even if it was something that touched you a little bit. http://sites.google.com/site/healing...rytelling/Home Thanks, V Last edited by Venom01; 04-17-2009 at 11:51 AM.. |

lol at the no response for good deeds thread lol
I guess I'll share something that I did last night. I was driving home, and this chicks car ran out of battery around my house by a stop sign and when I stopped at the stop sign, she asked if I could help her. I took a look at her, she was pretty fat, so I said no bitch, call AAA. I then went home and found out my dog got out and booked it. So I drove around looking for him. As I pass this fat chick again. She was crying sitting on the driver seat with the door open. So I felt bad for her and stopped to help her. My thoughts were if I help her, I would get good Karma and that would allow me to find my dog or allow him to have a safe passage home. So turns out her phone is dead and she can't charge it without her car on. And at least a dozen people have stopped and said no bitch, call AAA. I jumped her car for her, it took about 30 seconds. And then I proceeded to look for my dog, I found him in 5 mins. Karma FTW. |

Today my girlfriend and I were going to Cracker Barrel, we were making a right turn when I noticed the Toyota Camry like 3 cars ahead of me. Upon further inspection I noticed the fake convertible top attached to the roof line. As luck would have it, this same car was at Cracker Barrel 10 minutes later, and I watched the ~17 year old kid get out of the car and walk in. When he sat down a few tables over from us, I opted to keep my mouth shut. Sure, I could have just as easily walked over and explained the magnitude of the failure said automobile created. However, out of the kindness of my heart I didn't say anything.

I used to drive a tow truck years ago.
Driving home in my personal car (Mazda 323. Giant piece of crap) and see this girl with a newborn standing next to her car on the freeway shoulder. I stop to see whats up, and it turns out that she ran out of gas. I had a little gas can in my trunk, so i drove to the gas station and got her a gallon of gas. Went back, made sure her car started up and saw them drive off. Get into my car, start it, and the fucking thing blows the head gasket. I did not even have a chance to put it in gear! Walk off the freeway to that same gas station to call my shop to have them send a tow truck to get me. 40 minutes later (requirement for freeway calls is to be there within 15 minutes) this dude Charlie shows up. Completely cracked out of his mind! He proceeds to back up the truck to hook up my car, with the fork thing still hanging mid-air and drives straight into the front end of my car. He hit the poor thing sooo hard, the fork went through the radiator, right into the engine block making a huge crack in my engine block!!! wtf!!! He swears that he would pay for repairs, but gets fired 3 days later for rear-ending someone while being high and driving tow truck. After that Charlie was nowhere to be found, so i had to pay for repairs myself. Meanwhile my car is sitting in the tow yard that i was working at. 3 month later i finally get enough money to buy a new motor, go to my boss and tell him that I'm finally taking my car out of the tow yard to the shop to get fixed. I get a surprised look and he goes: "You are not taking it anywhere, until you pay $120 for the pickup, $45 for towing and 3 month worth of storage charges at $18/day" Needless to say I quit on the spot, told him to go and fuck himself, keyed his brand new Lexus, got on my bicycle and went home. Never seen that greedy fuck ever again. What happened to my car? I have no idea. I paid $500 for it in the first place, so i wasn't going to pay $1200 to get it out of the tow yard. I guess this is my story about kindness, inspiration and hope.

I was walking to lunch today when I saw a pretty nice pebble (about 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter) with some nice edges. when I picked it up I thought "why am I picking this thing up?" at the same time a Jetta GTI is passing by with some stupid stickers and exhaust on it. so it occurred to me *God put this pebble in my hand to throw at this guy* but I thought. "I would probly get pretty pissed if I had a GTI and someone threw a rock at me." So I didn't throw it I'm a nice person

I was going to Taco Bell about a week ago and park next to this brand new CL550 Benz..I go inside and order after some older lady who forgot her keys on the counter...
Instead of stealing her 100k car I walked to her table and gave her the keys back..she didn't even say thanks. She probably thought i probably tried to steal her freaking car...guess she didn't see my M3 outside and thought I was broke! Jeez...

I was at McDonald's ordering my food, and the guy beside me ordering was short by $1. The guy asks if I have a Dollar, and I give it to him. Doesn't say thank you or anything.
Later, I looked over at what he had ordered (keep in mind he's by himself), he got two quarter pounders, one large fry, 2 apple pies, and 1 large drink. WTF did you need a Doller from me for, you could have have just got one pie or sandwich instead of two. Sorry, but that pissed me off.

If I'm walking on campus and see a family holding a map trying to find out where they are going I'll usually stop and see if they need directions. More than a few times I've actually walked them to the place they needed to go and explained different parts of the campus as we've walked by it. Someone did that for me when I visited FSU and that was the reason I chose FSU, because of the people. So I figure if I always try to do the same thing if I can.
I also bought a homeless guy a meal at Waffle House. He ended up causing a scene with the waitresses, calling my GF a bitch, and getting taken out by the Police. So much for being nice.

I was waiting for a traffic light in San Jose when the transmission hose on the car next to me burst. I motioned for him to pull to the side in front of me and I pulled up behind. We both looked for what was needed and I drove him to the parts store and back. We then spent about 30 minutes with the repair. He offered to pay me for my efforts but I declined and asked him just to consider doing something similar for the next person he sees in need. What did it cost me? An hour or so of my time and a little bit of gasoline. What did I get out of it? A good feeling inside. That alone was worth the hour or so of time and the little bit of gas.

When I'm in Florida, I sometimes pay the toll for the person behind me. It's not a huge thing, but I had someone do it for me once and it was such a nice surprise.

there was this lady who lost her mother (dont tell me how) and she needed money to get a bus to LA and gave her a dollar. then she asked me for a cigarette so i gave that to her too... damn freeloaders
------- i was at the mall and there was this lady who got her purse stolen so she needed quarters to use the pay phone cus i guess she had her phone in the purse. since i was feeling good that day, i let her use my phone. so i let her used it and she gave me her quarters she collected that day, and i was like noooo keep it, its on me. after that i went home got some lysol disinfectant wipes and wipe my phone with that shit. ------- one time i lost my phone at school and someone turned it in, instead of keeping it and making profit from it. ------- i was at Staples one day and i saw this bum walking slow towards me and "i was like FUCK! he's going to ask for money." instead of walking away fast and into the store, i saved him the trouble of walking to me and walked to him and gave him a dollar. he was hella dirty and he was using this giant stick as a cane. so i kinda felt bad.
