From a CEO to being a pizza delivery boy.
What a downer. I'm hoping he can pull it back up as time goes by, for the sake of his kids.

Honestly, I grew up in a neighborhood where a lot of people made $750k a year... and none of them had houses like that. Owing $100k on credit cards? That guy is just an idiot. I respect his humility for being a pizza boy though.

At least he had the humility to get another job for his families sake.
I know guys making $60,000 who wouldn't stoop down to a pizza guy job because of pride.

My uncle owns over ten homes and they're worth over 10 million dollars in total. His main job pays over 30 dollars an hour but he still sometimes works on the weekend delivering for restaurants. He never owned a luxury car in his life and as far I remember, his first import car was a Corolla and he drove it till it complete rusted big time and the car he is driving right now is a used last generation Camry V6. Sometimes you just have to save money to make money. Just common sense.

I'm surprised that he would put all of his eggs in one basket, being in the profession he was in and all. He's not by himself though, a lot of people are living way outside of their mean. Like one of my neighbors...he was stressing about being short on money a couple of months ago and 3-4 days ago he got a new M6. This car is the 4th one in the household and it hasn't moved since the day he brought it home. Hell take this board for example...one day you see a "check out my new rims" thread, 2 weeks later you see a "hey guys I'm about to lose my job, I need someone to assume my lease" being posted. |

And why is he still in that same house? I guess I can see why his hedge fund failed ... he's not good with money.

doesn't matter how much you make, you should always save 20% of your income and have an emergency fund(atleast 6 months of bills worth)
This guy lived well beyond his means and is paying the price now, hopefully he will learn a lesson from all this. I wouldn't own a house like that unless I had enough to pay the house off in cash and enough to retire on comfortably.(3-5 million)
