Jobs out there that people wouldn't expect to be paying well.
I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on non-conventional degree requiring jobs that people wouldn't expect to pay well... but DO. Anyone?

There's a guy around here that drives around and picks up dog shit in people's backyard. Dude does all right, doesn't need a degree either. I think he's looking to hire another person....

What's your major? If a job requires a degree, then usually it's in your field. |

I am trying to narrow things down, to maybe find something I'd really like... that was specific and figure out how to get there. For example, the dream jobs that people never really thought to look into, they just played it safe with a business admin degree... something vague.

I earn pretty good salary as a unix sysadmin sans degree (or even college), there are lots of IT folks that make good money without a degree. It's just one of those fields I suppose.

Sorry, I interpreted "non-conventional degree requiring jobs" the wrong way. As in "not a conventional degree requiring job", instead of "jobs requiring non-conventional degrees". My bad.

I think this is the type of job you can start your own business with instead of having to be someone's right hand man.

I find myself spending gobs of time on cars, cars anddd well cars. If there was only something I could do at this school that would get me into that or did only that... I'd be a freaking deans lister.

These ones are also IST and interested me: Security And Risk Analysis: Social Factors And Risk Option Security And Risk Analysis: Intelligence Analysis And Modeling Option Security And Risk Analysis: Information And Cyber Security Option I wonder however how good I would be at those things or if they would drive me nuts. I have OCD, I am extremely analytic and I think a TON... so maybe an analyst job would work for me, or it will drive me mad. Not sure |
