Cars: the movie...

Nice flick, but something is fishy with the main car character, Lighting McQueen. The red race car does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and has a 750hp V-8 engine and it's top speed is 200mph.

First, I mean you would need like at LEAST a 12 cylinder to get those kind of horses!!

Second, you would only need something like half those horses for a 4.5 sec time. A 750hp car, especially with that weight, should be able to do more in the mid 3 range.

Third, a 750hp engine should be able to obtain a top speed closer to 230mph.

I knew there was something unrealistic about that movie!

Obviously my friend, you have a very limited knowledge on cars if any.

First, you dont need 12 cylinders to produce 750hp. With today's technology you can have a 4 banger get that much power.

Second, your acceleration has very little to do with hp. 0-60 is all about torque.

Third, your top speed is also affected by gear ratios not just hp.

Lastly, this is a dysney movie for kids who probably care less about statistics however your arguments are very inaccurate.

I saw it Friday night at the Disney El Capitan theater... It was a better movie than I expected.

Lots of great humor and quick witted scenes. I loved the play on the different car manufacturers (don't want to give that away).

It was certainly a fun movie to watch. Can't wait for the DVD; give me an opportunity to find the easter eggs in those Pixar movies.

Actually, I saw it with my 4 year old son and he didn't ask for a refund, but wanted M&M's instead for compensation.

I loved the movie so much I bought the DVD.

Speaking to the OP, the 4.5 second time could be that the car is sso overpowered AND RWD, the wheels are spinning too hard.

They need xDrive
