Alcantara headliner

Has anyone seen this option in the g60 yet? If so, are the visors covered?

Do you know if it will be different than what it is on the m5?

I am asking bc the pictures from the builder leave cause for concern that they would not be upgraded and that would be weird. It would not surprise me given some of the g60 implementation decisions.

I saw an m5 and I can’t remember if they were or were not. If they were there’s a chance the m60 would be different..

The m5 looks to have visors in Alcantara. Some pics from listed cars :

Tough question to answer since 2026 has only just started production and I don’t think 2025 even appears in parts catalogs yet.

I can tell you that my 2014 M4 has alcantara sun visors to match the headliner, so in the past they strove for consistency. Honestly, I cringe a little when I flip down the visors because I just don’t feel that fuzzy materials ought to be handled much lest they pick up dirt or oils from the skin.

Yea thought it might be a little early to see any. Was not sure if internationally the option was available sooner. Agreed - not a material you want to touch often but I’d still rather take that and have the visual consistency. The g60 visors are pretty flimsy

550e MY2025: visors in Alcantara, both sides.

(sorry, no pics, too dark in the garage)

The visors in my F90 are alcantara, and they’re the same in the G90. Not many G60 cars yet with that feature, but I assume the configurator hasn’t been updated to render it properly, since it’s a newer option. I can’t imagine why they would leave the visors vinyl, it would make the whole option worthless I’d think.

Completely agree with the worthless comment. However, they made many interior material sacrifices, so their decision making recently is reason to fear.

Eye of the beholder. I’d have ordered it even without the visors. I think the black plastic bits would constrast nicely against the gray.

I mean, I hear you. Every manufacturer seems to be doing this, so I guess I could see them skipping the visors. I’d pass in that case. If they were vinyl in my car, it would look odd, and it’s like the one part of the headliner I frequently touch.

I know there are aftermarket vinyl visors without the warning sticker you can get from iND, for example, and I’m guessing you could always source some in alcantara?

Gotta keep your expectations low

By both sides I meant both on the outside and inside of a visor, you can never know

Just taken delivery of my M60 and can confirm that the Alcantara headlining also covers the visors.

Congrats!
How’s it look / transform the interior?
I’m imagining it upscale things a bit, hiding the fairly disappointing interior plastics.

Sounds great, could you take some pics? I’ve ordered it too so would love to see what it looks like.

Thanks very much! I’ll be honest, for the cost of it, I probably wouldn’t have ordered it myself but it was a dealership spec’d car with the Ultimate Pack, so the Alcantara is a nice added bonus. Definitely a lovely touch and I’m a fan of a dark interior, so it adds nicely into that.

Apologies, it’s difficult to get a good photo of the Alcantara in the current sun but hopefully these will keep you going!

No worries, anytime. Do you guys not get the M seats?! They’re a super rare option over here (£2k) if I remember rightly, so I don’t think a lot of people spec them.

Thanks for posting it looks awesome. I skipped the m-seats and went for the comfort w/learher (mostly so the kids could see more from the back and have a bit more leg room) but damn they look good!

Wow, that is so helpful to see. Is it weird that the sunshade is regular material surrounded by alcantara?
