Nano Ceramic Tint

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone post pics of nano ceramic tints?

I am going Monday for window tints. Choices are ceramic or nano ceramic. I’ve read nano ceramic has a blue hue to it which installer did confirm. He will have samples for me to see but be great to see some examples here too.

I mainly want heat reduction and small privacy improvement. I am thinking 70% windshield and 35-40% on all side windows.

Almost every picture of my car I have posted has nano-ceramic tint according to the web site for the brand of tinting I have installed. I have not noticed any blue-ness to it, so either I just don't see it or it's a different kind of "nano-ceramic" that doesn't have that color in it. Perhaps mine is just too dark to see it well. On the windshield, the shade is only 50, so I suppose I can sort of see some blueness there, but I don't really notice it unless I'm specifically looking for it.

Here is a link to the Pinnacle tinting that I have which is part of LLumar's FormulaOne line of tint. One of the reasons I went with this type of tint is because of its excellent heat rejection.

You could probably find many pictures of my car in these forums, but if you want to see a whole bunch in one spot, you can look at this Album I created to show the tinting on the car and judge the tint for yourself: https://photos.app.goo.gl/GHXe2MEF45GipxUx8

As far as the shades go, I have 15 on the side and rear windows, 50 on the windshield, and 30 on the sunroof.

Thanks for the post.
Your car looks great. I love the dark look and would go darker if it did not bother me more than most at night.

I do agree your car really doesn’t show the blue.

I found this post last night on m5. I believe you can see the blueness in this car’s windshield. This poster has the same material my installer uses and might be the exact % setup I’ll go with.

as a professional tinter, you will NEVER see in a picture online of what a tint looks like vs. in person. Always best to go see it in person installed in a car. FYI, nano ceramic is NOT going to give a blue hue as this would be an issue with the brands dye used. Geoshield products I can say show the most clear view looking out from inside the cabin.

Thanks. Going to see real examples on Monday. I don’t think it will be significant and I’ll end up with the nano.

Being an installer is that what you recommend?
