550e Check Engine
About 1800 miles on my 550e. Used sport mode yesterday for a fun run. Went out this am and check engine light on. Reset with my obd reader.
Went to a meeting and got front collision warning error. Did 70 second drive reboot. Error persisted. Came out of meeting about 3 hrs later and no error messages. Any thoughts? Hopefully won’t come back. |

Nope, this morning it did not start to condition 15 min before departure as normal, and when I went out to the car it said "Parameters for remote start have not been met." And the check engine light was still lit. I plugged in my BimmerUtility dongle and reset the codes. then rebooted IDrive. The check engine was still lit, but after I stopped at the local Dumpster to throw out the trash, when I got back in the car and started up the check engine light was gone. This is the second time my car has done this since I took delivery last Nov. I still have not gone to the dealer to get this looked at. I need to get the oil changed post Break in. When I do I will ask them to check it out and also if they can do a SW update. I have not received it yet and am still on 7.2024.40. |

My 530ix did this after about a month of ownership did a remote start got in the car and the check engine light was on drove to Walmart came back to the car light was off
I did take it to the dealer week later they said it needed an update something about 48V any way it never came back on car has 5700 miles 2024. I would take it to the dealer to have them check the codes even though the light isn't on those codes are stored.
