Ambient lighting updates
Hello All,
New member here from Ireland with a 550e. Finally decided to join the forum and take part! Anyone think that BMW will release an upgrade through the store that will allow users to make different combinations of colours similar to preset modes such as sport, expressive etc.? |

I'd be surprised if it happens. I've been wanting that for a year now (since I got my car) but I have not seen it yet. I think they're leaving some money on the table by not offering more simple options like that in the iDrive store.

Definitely agree! I bought the lighting package because i drop $50 on much sillier things and for sure i would spend for different ambient lighting.

It would be nice if they added a nice red to the list. There are three or four shades of blue, but the closest to red is a pale rose colour. And I know it can do red, as it shows in Sport Mode.

It'd be cool if we could set it to cycle through the available colors at a calm pace. They all look pretty nice. Not sure they'll invest in it at this point, given their move to the Panoramic iDrive.
