The nav system would show turns and distance to the next exit in the heads up display, but not on the nav screen itself. Is there a way to change that? Also, can it show a 2D display with north up instead of the 3D display?

If you put the nav/directional view in the dashboard, it shows upcoming turns and the distance until those turns all stacked 3D. It also shows an image of the freeway exit signs. I switched mine to do this and put my music on the main screen. I’m not sure about always having north pointed up, as I always have it set from the driver’s point of view.

I believe you can have north always up. There is a "button" on the screen when in Nav view that you can tap and it cycles through the 3 or 4 different views available.

I spent some time in it this morning and found that. Thanks! My wife will appreciate it. She thinks differently.

Do you have the AI center screen view?

Also, think you can put turn directions as a widget. I wish there was more info on turns like drive 7.

I have it on directional view. It still shows the camera with AI turns. I like the big freeway signs. Just in case I was zoning out, that alerts me to my exit. I found this setting when I had an i4 loaner without the HUD. I need to play more with widgets, but they always disappear so I haven’t bothered lately.

Augmented reality (camera view with superimposed arrows) should appear on either the main screen display or the instrument cluster display at turns depending on where you've set it to appear.

Normally, I put Ai behind the steering wheel. Sounds like I should switch to directional behind the wheel then ai will pop up at turns?

There is also a view can’t remember the name that shows car tracking around you without the camera view.

Correct. Directional view shows a compass. When you enter a destination, it switches to turn by turn with road signs, when you approach a turn, it switches to AI. The car tracking is Assisted View.

My dealer showed me how to use the buttons on the steering wheel to set things up. This changed the situation completely.
