Seems like a step in the right direction with the grill/headlights. Some legacy E30 vibes for sure, which is nostalgic instead of innovative.. but I'm not mad. FWIW, I actually love the way the G80 looks and always have.

I'm curious to see when this'll come out, as the non-M Neue Klasse BEV 3 Series is supposed to come out end of 2026 calendar year, but current gen G8X aren't ending production until 2027/2028 calendar years. So time will tell if there'll be overlap, or if they delay this M3 Neue Klasse until current G8X platform M's are done with production.

This is really disappointing, an electric M car is sacrilegious. Get a grip BMW, no one wants this NEUE KLASSE crap, it’s super ugly. Just make classy cars.

I will reserve final judgment until a year after the car has been released, because I ate my words when the G8X M2/3/4 were first revealed. I did not care for them, and my mind's eye was corrupted within a year's time.

Pros:

• Chonky. It still looks like it's got booty like an M should.
• The proportions look nice. It doesn't look bigger if at all than the G8X, which is nice because it's already too big. The F8X was the biggest an M3/4 should get imho.
• The grill appears to be smaller, but time will tell and it's an EV.

Cons:

• For now, it looks like the door handles are protruding. I hope this is not the final form, as I prefer the flush G87 handles.
• The hood line of the Neue Klasse will take some getting used to.
• It's sitting a bit high.
• They are still using the tiny rear brakes. Not a big deal, but I don't like swapping track pads with these things.

They will still be making an ICE version of the M3/4 allegedly, but it will likely be the last one at this rate.

EV is the future, the earlier they start making these M EVs, the sooner they will improve to where there will be progressively less compromises vs our beloved I6s. The worst thing that they can do is get behind and get left in the dust.

Coincidentally, the Dodge Charger EV press embargo ended today. Resistance is futile.

Speak for yourself. You are not everybody.

I find a true M car as a BEV far, FAR less sacrilegious than slapping //M badges on M235i's, M340i's and advertising them on the //M section of their website.

I'd be willing to bet based on 1. The looks of the camo vehicle and 2. that the development vehicle in the video is an i4 with an M3 nose that the car will be a hatch.

I love a hatch, but the 4 GC / i4 doesn't work for me...the hatch robs rear headroom my family of tall people needs.
