Like the title says we are now the proud owners of a 2025 540IX Msport. Dragonfire Red.
We really had no intentions of buying a car on Black Friday and to be honest BMW was actually #2 on my short list. I can get an Executive discount (though a friend) on any GM so we were looking at the Caddy CT5-V. We went to a Caddy dealer first that day, but the Caddy is noticeably smaller than our old car (Genesis G80 Sport) and the trunk is tiny (11 cubic feet). So rather than just go home I suggested we stop at the local BMW dealer.
We got to the dealer and told the salesman we were interested in a loaded up 540 IX. We tells us he has just the car and goes to bring it around. It looks a lot like our G80 looked (which is good, cause the wife loved that car.) and every bell and whistle except the big stereo. Not sure why they skipped that, but it wasn't a deal breaker.
Anyway to make a long story short after walking out on them once (the salesman had com running out to our car to ask us to come back in) and then threatening to walk out a second time we made a deal that was acceptable to me and now Scarlet belongs to us.
I am still trying to figure out how to work all the toys and then I have to teach the wife. (it was fun trying to teach her how the self driving works!)
Question does anyone know if the Dealership selling inexpensive extended warranties / service contracts? I want this thing covered for as long as possible.

TurtleBoy has a few names for the extended warranties. A general cross forum Bimmerpost google search should reveal some prior posts as well. Definitely take your time and shop around, you have up until the new car warranty expires to extend it.

I assumed he was being funny with the color name and that it is actually Vegas Red Metallic as we know it here in the US. However, there ARE other colors available if you want to go to a BMW Individual color. See this link for a fun way to picture all the colors.

I'm surprised there was a 2025 540i X MSportPro in stock at a dealer when so many people are having trouble getting their custom order 2025's. I mean, congratulations and all. But I still feel for the likes of Todd who are suffering with looking at boxes of parts.

The dealer should have extended dwarranty/service packages available. I believe they are up to $5800.00 and include warranty for up ton125,000 mi and 7 years and service to include Wipers and brakes. I am going to get itnonce I get my car to the states. I did buy a 2 year extended warranty for the EU for €980. that includes parts and labor. But I could not get a service package in Europe for a US Spec car.

The color is Vegas red. I have no idea where i got the Dragon Fire red name from, although you do have to admit it does sound like a BMW color....

Do BMW Spain not give the standard 3? year new car full BMW warranty like elsewhere so you had to buy a 2 year warranty just now?

They do 3 yr unlimited km. I bought 2 yr extended warranty 200,000 km.

Regarding your request for information about an extended warranty: There’s a forum member who works to get discounts for Bimmerpost memebers. I believe they provide an email address to send your VIN to and they’ll provide you a quote. It’s through BMW of Camarillo.

Okay. As a rule I also extend the warranty because I often keep my cars 4 years. But I leave it until the manufacturers 3 year warranty is expiring in case my circumstances change.

I think the warranty on these cars is 4 years in the US. Is it only 3 years in the UK?

3 years in UK and EU.
