2024 530i Quality
Once I enabled iconic sounds and put it in sports mode the car feels like a BMW. My only disappointments are the inexpensive black plastic on the center console, missing the center shifter, no more M Sport door sills, the rear seat document pockets are no more, the deleted cup holder cover on the rear center armrest, the smaller trunk space, and one more they took away the little compartment on the driver's side below the air consditioner vent where I was able to store a couple of things.

I watched a review on the G60 Long wheelbase from a reviewer in India. That thing had what I feel every 5 series should have gotten for the rear center armrest, based on the price point of the vehicle. Wondering if this center armrest is compatible with the standard G60 and how difficult it would be to swap. And if I care enough about my rear seat passenger comfort to care? lol Last edited by ToddRGuy; 11-23-2024 at 05:58 PM.. Reason: ADD PHOTOS |

The finger prints are all over the center console and I am constantly cleaning them. They did some obvious cost-cutting and trending with the competitors by getting rid of the center gear shifter. My previous one was a 2021 and the interior was perfect. I still like the wood all over the car.

I like to drive the car in manual/sports mode and for me using the paddle shifters is less fun.

I like the shifter better than a dial shifter. And the old G30 BMW shifter always looked like it would snap off to me.

Agree - the new shifter is way better. The quality of the car is fantastic. I've had most of the M cars from two generations back. I don't get the complaints. I wish the rear doors had the sensor to unlock them, but that is my only want. This last gen is the best execution from BMW, and I would never have considered a non-M car from prior generations.

My biggest disappointment with the 530 is they didn't keep the ambient lighting across all the g60s the same you had to get a 540 to get the really good ambient lighting I think that's a crock of s*** because the price point of the 530 when I bought mine was at least 68 $69,000 and to get a 540 it's almost 80 grand I didn't need to spend that much really disappointed in the ambient lighting I don't mind what I have but they could at least lit up the cup holder come on man and the storage compartment on the doors
