Wireless charging tray issue

So this morning I'm on my way on an hour drive and I needed to charge my iPhone so I popped it in the tray and I noticed that the message didn't pop up saying it the phone is charging so I put my Android on there same issue going to the wireless settings and it tells me that the wireless in order to wireless charge it has to be activated it's turned on but it's the system says it not activated what is that That's never happened before I try to do an iDrive reset nothing still got that same message so now I have that in my e Sim is still broken

Hard to follow what you mean here - what do you mean "...the wireless in order to wireless charge it has to be activated it's turned on but it's the system says it not activated...? Is it possible the phones are too hot and/or the ambient cabin temperature in the car is too high?" I sometimes get no response when I put a phone on the charging pad if the phone or cabin are too hot, but once it cools down it often eventually starts charging.

It sounds like he went to charge it, but the system told him that wireless charging needed to be enabled for it to proceed, but in actuality it was indeed enabled already. Is this a feature that can be toggled off/on?
