In the past when I opened Android Auto, Waze was there on the left hand column. Now it's not. So I press the four dots icon to open up the apps available and it's not listed. I tap on "customize" and it directs me to my phone screen to check or uncheck the apps I want to show up. Which is great, except Waze is not listed in the checkable options. In fact only about 10 of the total ~50-60 apps I have on my phone are listed and, of course, Waze is not among them. BTW, I do have Waze installed on my phone.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to get Waze to show up on the Android Auto screen in the car.

Am I missing something here?

Open up media with the button Doc then hit the nav button. A pop up should appear allowing you to select waze or bmw nav
I have you tube music as my source via android auto.

I am actually pleased with the latest update personally. A lot of things working better. One of my favorite things that works better is the remote parking with my phone. Another is the new pop up when hitting the nav button when android auto is playing music.

[Update] I was able to fix this. I had to go into the Android Auto app on the phone and click the "customize apps" tab. Waze was there but it wasn't checked. So, after checking it (in the phone app) it was back in the vehicle based Android Auto.
