Has anyone come across good sill protectors for the G61?
I bit the bullet and traded in the G30 LCI for a G61 for the sake of practicality, but must admit it’s really down on detail and gear. No soft close, no rear seat entertainment, no full merino with alcantara headliner option etc etc. Another thing that struck me is dat the door jambs are absolutely bare.

I’ve seen the BMW / M and M-performance sill strips, but they only come for the front door sills and are tiny.
On the web I saw that in other markets they do come with sill protectors, but nothing can be found. Has anyone sourced the original protectors?

I'd love to see what other markets are offering for customers. It's nuts that you can't get a set that accounts for all 4 doors.

I’m awaiting my SA to dig around as well. In theropod days the upper tier models such as M50i etc would have gotten their badge in the sill as well, BMW is skimping a lot lately on materials.

I had my SM order the M ones for me. The dealer is going to install them along with the M Badges and the wheel locks when my car gets here.

I’m thinking about ordering those as well. Although, I’d need to cross shop the prices vs what they wanted to install. Some guy in SoCal was quoted $600 to “install” those M-badges. 😲

That's just ridiculous. If they told me that I would just buy them and install myself.

Check on E-Bay. In other countries, they didn’t skimp and they are readily available.
