Build Codes
I have been sitting at build code status 150 for weeks. Figured I would share this for anyone interested.
111: Order Accepted at AG 112: Order scheduled for production (Up to this point, you’ll still be able to make changes to your order. Once the order status reaches 150, your vehicle is on the assembly line and can no longer be updated or have changes made). 150: Production started 151: Body shop started 152: Paint shop started 153: Assembly started 155: Production completed 160: Released for distribution 168: In AG stock 170: Waiting workshop 172: Planned for workshop 174: Workshop entry 176: Workshop complete 180: Waiting for export dispatch 181: Waiting for domestic dispatch 182: Scheduled for carrier delivery 190: In transit to the port of exit 191: Returned to BMW AG 193: Arrived at the port of exit 194: Selected for shipment 195: Shipped from the port of exit 196: Shipment arrival Last edited by AiredaleDad; 08-29-2024 at 04:03 AM.. |

Here's what I don't understand. Another forum member (nt25940) with our build week, has stated they have a VIN, and that their status has advanced to '150'. I was a bit surprised by this, considering production technically doesn't start for another 33+ days. Also, makes me curious about the rhyme/reason behind the process and how it works. lol.

I pulled the detail data for my build. As you can see below the car is in Status code 150 (Production Begins).
1. prodVehicleDetails: [{orderStatusCode: "150", overHeadMessage: "Production begins",…}] 1. 0: {orderStatusCode: "150", overHeadMessage: "Production begins",…} 1. " 2. colorCode: "0416" 3. exteriorColor: "Carbon Black Metallic" |

The car isn't actually physically being assembled until 151 status. The "production begins" status is a bit of a misnomer. It just means the build is locked and components are being gathered. The assembly line is not until 153 status.

But basically I think it all depends on where you are in the queue, and how many cars they paint in a day. |
