Hi everyone,
Just wondering if I am the only one with these strange behaviors, apparently since the last firmware update.

My GPS activation points disappear every time I turn the car off and on.
It used to work flawlessly, but since the last firmware update in June, I can’t get the activation points stored from one ride to the next. The list always empty every time I turn the car on.
Other strange behavior: the display mode I choose for the heads-up display is always reset back to the default. Any clue why ?
I am properly connected with my BMW ID. I have reached out to the BMW assistance but they have not been able to help so far.

When you write "GPS activation points", are those the same as the locations called "Favorites" in the Nav tab of the myBMW app? If so, mine don't disappear, nor does my HUD reset each time.

If you haven't already, I would suggest restarting your phone, and also restarting iDrive (the 70 second version described in the video below).

If those items don't work, you may have to take it to the dealer to have them try re-applying the latest update. Those settings should definitely stay in place.

Thanks. What I meant with activation points are the GPS locations where you want to automatically turn on the front cameras (for crossroads or for parking in my garage). They are gone as soon as I turn off my vehicle.
I rebooted my iDrive a couple of times already. Without success.
I even reset to factory settings. Unfortunately without much improvement.
I am afraid I won't be able to save a trip to my BMW dealership.

I’ve had both issues happen since the last update. Usually happen if someone else drives my car with the key fob or digital key then I drive it. Even though my BMW ID shows up, those 2 settings intermittently reset.

Took delivery of my 530e just 10 days ago.
After a few days I lost « server connection «.
I checked all my settings, all ok.
Deleted and reinstalled my BMW app, no change.
I tried the 70 second reset for idrive, no change.
So contacted BMW connected drive by email. They suggested that I do the following.

Added image. The idrive reset worked differently to the non event of just holding the volume button for 70 seconds. A pop up notice appeared in the cockpit screen after 3 presses on the start button. Then holding down volume button until seeing the screen re-booted.

FYI the issue has been fixed with the latest update 07/2024.40
