For clarity, that is window tint that the dealership has applied for you?? They should be able to repair that I believe.

Lemon Law then. Not sure if you have that where you live though. Lemon Law lets you get a new car to replace the one you have if a repair can not be fixed after 3 attempts.

From the picture, I assume we're talking about the factory installed...umm...what is that stuff called? Around the frame/edge of the window? It almost looks metallic. It's not really "tint" is it?

This tint film is not touching the metallic dot matrix area. Just put it in the sun and press on it to get it to touch the glass. The trick is to get the tints adhesive to cool down quickly after you press on it. You can also use a heat gun and a bondo card then heat the glass (on the OUTSIDE) and when it gets slightly warm from the inside stop and then sweep the bondo card across it and inspect it outside. Once the glue/glass starts to cool, upon this sweep across it will ahdere to the glass and look like the few 3 finger print sized spots you have shown here that are touching the glass properly.

And BTW it wasn't considered a lemon because Audi bought it back from me. So if anyone out there sees an attorney advertising free fees for taking your case in a lemon law understand most companies will buyback so they can resell it, and in that case you have to pay. I am considering calling the attorney again for my vehicle. Continuous CarPlay and iDrive issues take a lot of joy out of this thing. |
