Special Orders?

Has anyone been able to achieve any success for special orders for the G60? Thinking items such as DHP/Adaptive Suspension/IAS, digital rear climate controls, four zone HVAC, etc?

I did read a post where a person was able to order 4 zone HVAC when placing an order. I attempted to do the same thing, however, my CA told me that BMW NA declined to allow it to be included in the configuration.

If someone whose been successful with this knows what the process is, or how to get these magic buttons pressed at a BMW NA, I'd love to hear it!

Update:

I sent an email for contact to BMW NA through their website. I told them that other buyers have been successful with this. I asked them to please tell me the process by which a CA or Dealership obtains a waiver. Additionally, I asked them to whom the dealership CA should speak to within BMW NA to obtain such a waiver.

Good play. There is a way to get this done. Individuals and dealers that know the process can make it happen and everyone else is left out. I was able to get Individual paint on my 2017 F30 3er but there were approvals my dealer handled that.

Update:

I actually ended up calling BMW NA customer service. The representative was unable to see the 4NB option for 4-zone climate control in her system, either.

She was very curious about how it would be done and could only conclude that it requires the dealership to work with their Regional Sale Representative from BMW NA to make that happen.

My dealership reported that the answer from BMW NA was "No." to my request. I can only conclude that the Regional Sales Representatives in each district, has latitude over what can and can't be done; so the answers people get about adding these types of options will be inconsistent.

It's pretty unfortunate, that they're offering this package in Europe, Canada and elsewhere but not the United States. Quite frankly, it's quite stupid that at least 3 zone climate control isn't standard in a BMW model at this price point, especially when is available on 3 series and 4 series models in the U.S.

I contemplated reaching out to BMW NA's CEO from my Linkedin profile for a hot minute and asking him about the inconsistency in regional policy, but then thought perhaps that was just a BIT to much. LOL.

I can't offer anything further, folks. I hope someone who has been successful with this, would be willing to reach out to the CA that made it happen, and ask them what the process is. Otherwise, there's a possibility (not saying that everyone is dishonest) that a specific dealership will not know what to do, and simply say "They said, No." because they don't want to deal with it.

Special Orders

I have a sales associate that can do special orders. He has limited availability, but worth a try.

PM me and I will give you his contact info.
