Purple liquid leaking from i5 M60?

So I’m not 100% certain this was leaking from my car…but in my garage where I park I notice 2 areas where there is a dried up purplish liquid. I pulled the car out and let it sit in another spot and didn’t see anything else leaking. I was thinking maybe it was some soap or that didn’t completely rinse at the car wash.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

Ugmm run it through the car wash and see if they use any kind of purple soap or waxes

Does it smell like coolant?

It’s all dried up. Has no smell. Probably nothing…but car is going for that damn drumming sound today so I’ll have them check for any leaks too.
Thanks!

Any chance it’s condensation that mixed with something purple on the floor?

I went to softtouch carwash, next day there was purple residue. In my case it was the soap dripping.

Could be the infamous coolant changeover valve leak recall:

https://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/s....php?t=2077845

Supposedly it's only a problem with cars that cold-soak below 19 degrees F, so some of us just signed a form at delivery about this and got the car.

My touch free car wash always leaves soap. The rinse cycle is pathetic. I have to rinse and dry when I get home.

Noticed this under my 540i this morning. Wonder if it’s the same issue noted by others? What could this be?

Is it clear and colorless? If yes then maybe water from the AC.

It’s hard to tell from the photo but it is slightly purple/pink in color, similar to OPs concern. I didnt think to smell it, so I don’t know more than the color.

Well, I would think it's either brake fluid, steering fluid or water. Just guessing.

There is no fluid that is pink or purple on BMWs. Only blue, green, black/brown. We don’t use coolant that is pink/purple.

Got my vehicle back yesterday. Drumming sound and side view mirrors fixed!

The inspected underneath and found no purple residue or anything leaking. So it was probably just soap. I never used the touch free wash until I got this car with frozen paint. Now I know! Thanks for all the responses!
