Cellphone compatibility

Hey. Just wondering if anyone out there has had any issues with cellphone compatibility. I am going to be ordering a new 540i XDrive this month (Or next depending on when I can order it)

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20+ (EU Version, not US so it's Dual SIM) and my wife has an iphone 13 (US Version 1 E-SIM, one physical SIM). Both of them pre-date the G60. Does anyone have the same phones that already has a G60? And am I going to have compatibility problems with the digital key/My BMW app? Or am I going to need to get new phones?

Also does anyone know if will I be able to add the 5G E-sim to my T-Mobile plan while I am overseas. It works for Data on my cellphone, but I don't know if it will be able to connect my car.

I am US Civil Service stationed overseas, so I am going to be taking delivery of my Custom Build, US Spec vehicle here in Spain, and shipping it to the US at the end of my tour.

With my old 328i I had several iPhones, up to the iPhone X, and never had any problems. My iPhone 15 works flawlessly with my i5. No problem setting up the digital key or using the MyBMW app.

Thanks. I am more specifically looking to see if my Samsung Galaxy S20+ and my wife's Iphone 13 will work. If they won't I may have to upgrade phones. I saw earlier where someone was saying their S20 would not work with remote parking App.

My Galaxy S22 Ultra works perfectly, no problem. However, my wife's Galaxy A53 5G does not work at all. I don't think hers supports UWB because it has Bluetooth and pretty sure it has NFC capability. Sorry, but I don't know about your wife's iPhone or your S20+.

I would suggest installing the myBMW app on the phones and see what it tells you. I think the app might tell you up-front if the phone is not supported for the digital key.

I think someone mentioned on another string that the Parking Assistant PRO did not work on their my BMW app on their Samsung phone because there was some technology or something their phone did not have that made it incompatible with the parking assistant PRO and in order for it to work they had to get a new phone.

I like my current S20+. It works well, has no issues, is Dual SIM (Which I use a lot in Spain and the US) and I don't want to spend the $$ to get a new phone "Just Because". I may have to just not use that part of the APP if it won't work. If I buy an EU model, it won't give me more than 4G in the states because of the band frequencies. But if I buy a US model, I will get 5G in the US, but only get 4G in Europe, where I live. But then, when I move back to the states in a couple of years, I am stuck having to get a new phone again. Most likely, I will get frustrated and just buy a new phone her and another when I get back.

I wonder now about the e-sim in the car too. It is a USA model, so I assume the 5G E-SIM will be US bands. Since I do get T-Mobile Data here in Europe (2G) I wonder if it will work here if I add it to my T-Mobile Plan? And if the slow speeds will make it worth it. Or if I should just wait to I move back to the US to add it?
