My partner just went from a 2010 535i to a 2024 530i and boy it’s interesting but confusing. I’ve been told I can call a BMW Genius to ask questions?

I’m looking for a voice command to disable CarPlay? And go back to idrive. I thought it was END CarPlay but it doesn’t work. Is going into device menu the only way to do it?

I drive a different car with wired CarPlay and now I like it because I can end CarPlay by unplugging.

Should I keep RTFM to find my answer?

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to achieve, but if you click on the “media” button on the console and select mobile devices you can uncheck the CarPlay box next to any connected phone. (I might not be remembering all the precise terms here).

The media button also lets you switch between inputs without needing to disable CarPlay as well if that helps.
