Where is the odometer on these cars? I would have thought it would always be in the display like other things at the bottom. How many miles were driven in the hour when you went from 99% to 84%?

You can find it in a few different places. For me I drive with the efficiency in my main screen which also captures the trip counter and total miles since factory - I captured that in this picture earlier this year.

Ok, so I guess you have to pick one of the right displays to see the total mileage on the car. Thanks!

I could never find it on my Tesla. But was easily found in the app. Maybe easier there, I wouldn't know don't have it yet.

The odometer is underneath the driving mode. In this case: Efficient. You’ll only see the odometer before you turn on the engine and after you turn it off.

I would also like to know the actual miles, but that looks to be excellent.

From 8:49am until 9:53am I had driven about 45-50 miles.

Not downhill. I was on the freeway with speeds ranging between 50-80 mph.

HVAC set to Auto 70F and heated and heated steering wheel on level I for about 20-25 mins of the drive (just in the beginning).

Thanks! So if we do some basic math and extrapolation, you would get about 300 miles on a full charge if you continued driving like that. Wow, pretty impressive for a car rated by BMW to get 256 miles of range (or less depending on wheel size).

That is assuming that 15% of a full charge will get you 45 miles of range. I'm not sure if that's a fair way to extrapolate, but it still sounds excellent.

This is how I look at these numbers - the range on the screen is a guess, but miles driven is measured and presumably % SOC is as well.

So, this is what it’s come down to? There was a time that BMW owners’ concerns dealt with their cars’ performance. Now we purchase cars with 500hp and discuss their mileage while in efficiency mode, and discuss optimal settings for software and display screens. Sorry, but I’m an old timer stuck in the past.

I have gotten about 300 miles on several full charges, real world driving. I am VERY impressed. My iX 50 routinely got very close to 400 miles of real world driving.

Being that I have had two Jaguar I-Pace, an e-tron and a Tesla Model Y...BMW battery management and efficiencies are amazing!!!

Even in Personal, aka Comfort mode, the range only goes down by 10-12 miles.

I just had it in Efficient, since I knew my drive yesterday was 150 miles, and it was neither hot, nor cold...so I did not need as robust HVAC.

Actually, this is related to performance. The BMW motor uses different technology than other EV manufacturers. The magnet only engages under acceleration, which means you recoup energy when coasting. Other motors need decoupling. Wouldn’t you love to floor your gas car, then when you let up on the accelerator, it put gasoline back in your tank? And I am 67 years old, by the way. I am a bit of a chemistry geek, a software engineer and a pharmacist. I find new technology fascinating.

I bought my i5 M60 to drive hard as the performance car it’s meant to be, just as I have my Tesla M3P, and I’ve never had an issue with my Tesla….

Yes, obviously you have to think about range a little more than ICE….BUT…..when I say “think about range” I mean if you’re going on LOOOONG trips….. my daily is 80-100miles (and I can charge at home, and only on UK 3pin 240v which only adds 8miles of range an hour) and it’s NEVER been an issue….

I lose the sound of ICE, but there’s many many pro’s to high performance electric……..(beating almost anything off the line….&#128580
Obviously just my personal opinion….😜
