Update regarding my New Years Eve accident
The old thread: https://g60.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=30787004
Hey all! Didn't want to necro a post from a month ago, but did want to circle back and share some updates now that they've done a tear down to figure out the exact extent of the damage. Anyways, the total for the repair came out to $14,097. The parts actually came in a few weeks earlier than they were expected so repairs are already underway. If anyone would be interested, I can get a list together of the items they're replacing with part number and the listed price, Just let me know! Will share more once the repair is done. |

Thanks for the update! I don't think I need a full list of parts, but it would be nice to keep us updated as to how the whole experience goes from here forward. Also, a beautiful final picture at the end when it looks like new again would be nice.

MrMoose0987 Thanks for the update. Also, may I ask where you purchased your yellow/amber DRLs? Our son has them in his '24 M3 and they look as good on your i5. Thanks.

that's way lower than what I was expecting.... good to know that BMW replacement body parts are not unreasonably expensive.
a family member's Toyota Corolla had a tree branch land on the roof last year. GEICO paid to have the entire roof panel replaced, plus the rear glass. They paid the $10,267 claim.(which surprised me, because I thought they would have totaled the car instead of repairing it) |
