O'Fest - Anybody thinking of going?

Not the one in Munich, although that would be righteous. I'm talking about The BMW CCA Oktoberfest. This year it's at Watkins Glen in New York, Sept 23-28. Just trying to get an early headcount, or get people planning for a 1er infiltration.

Looks like I'll be there.

Some info about last year's O'Fest can be seen at the national website.

Boston Chapter and GVC is running a DE there on Tues/Wed, that I don't know if it's published (or finalized) yet. O'Fest is having track days later in the same week too.

Autocross is scheduled for Thurs-Fri of that week too, and I'll be there for that.

I'll be there. Planning on attending one of the driving schools, and one of the rally events.

My wife and I will be there. The new format will be interesting, but we will see. I would think with this location, the turn out will be very high this year, maybe 600 people or so. Just have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, the Boston Chapter as a regular autox series event on Sunday. I'll have to pack up the gear, and get the autox equipment out of there on Saturday in prep for the event on Sunday up at Fort Devens in Northern Mass.

I wish I could stay the weekend.

By the way, we bought all new state of the art wireless gear for the 2007 season. It is awesome... wait til you see it in action.

Watkins Glen is just 4 hours due north of me. Hard to say this far out, but I'll try to make it.

Good news! I was able to trade off our Sunday Boston Chapter event for the preceding weekend with another club! So, I might see some more of you guys on Saturday.

Anyone else going to Oktoberfest at the Glen?

BMW CCA's annual Oktoberfest is being held in Watkins Glen this year around the last week of September. Anybody here plan on going?

I'll definitely be there, I've always wanted to drive 'The Glen' and what better way to do it than in a new 135!!?!

Me (335) and my buddy (E36 M3) are coming up from MD. Don't worry, we'll be bugging you 135 owners aplenty.

Already signed up and have reservations. Hotels are almost full out 40 minutes so if you are thinking about it, you may need to make the commitment now or forever wish you did.

I will have my 330 there again this year. That will make 6 O'fests for that car (and probably it's last....ssshhhh, don't let it know!).

There's a group of about 12 of us coming up from Houston for it. Instead of staying at a hotel, we rented a huge 7-bedroom house on the lake (actually worked out a lot cheaper than staying at the hotel in Watkins Glen or Ithaca). Not sure why Animal House comes to mind....:drinking:
