I noticed that the Vegas Red Metallic color is available for the i5 eDrive40 now in the builder on BMWUSA.com. There are no red ones on any lots in my area so I was wondering if anyone has received theirs and can post some pics.

I'm really thinking of getting that color, but I'd like to see it in person first, or at least some photos from folks who have that color.

Thanks for the video. I found that one earlier today as well.

I love the color in that video, but was wondering how the color would look when out in the sun. The lighting in that showroom might make the car look a little darker than it looks in the sunshine. I don't want the red color to be too bright in the sun.

I love how the darker red mixes with the gloss black accents.

I would just suggest that if this is what you choose, be 100% certain that you like it because it's definitely a [very] bold statement.

I’ve ordered my M60 in Fire Red too (that’s what it’s called in UK), although I’ve delayed mine until March delivery as my current Tesla M3P lease ends then.
Plus with UK license plate makeup from 1st March is the new 24 number plate.

Can’t wait though to see everyone else’s red photos when they get them…

Nice. I’ve got 2 to choose from….although the TH15 MYM plate is from when I had my 2015 M5, so not sure about putting it on a “non M” car….🤷🏼*♂️

That is a very good point. Currently it's between the Mineral White Metallic and the Vegas Red Metallic. Those are the two I am considering.

It will be on an eDrive40 with the M Sport design and the M Sport Pro pack with the extended shadowline trim, so basically the grill and all the trim will be black. At first I liked the contrast between the white and the black, but that was before the red was available in the US market. Now that red is available, I really like how the deep red and the black work together.

It just seems like there are so many white cars on the road these days that it would be nice to stand out a little with a bolder color on such a nice looking car.

The wife likes white and I'm leaning towards the red. I've never owned a white car and have always found them to be somewhat plain looking in general. I've always owned blue vehicles in the past, but I'm not a fan of how the blue looks with the black trim on the i5, so it's definitely between red and mineral white for me.

I vote for the first one. I don't think MYM would look odd since the car has the M60 badge on the back.

Similar to you... my last 2 cars were blue and wanted a change. My wife has a mineral white X7. The white does look plain except in the right lightning, then the pearl pops. I generally do not go bold colors, however this a is lease.

My have had a few white ones, but in the Pacific Northwest they get dirty quickly with the rain and road grime. We almost ordered Vegas Red, but the color swatch on the BMW build site wasn’t nice looking. Now, we wish we had gotten it. I’ve never had blue, so now I have to keep Tanzanite Blue constantly clean. Dark is as bad as white.

That's interesting because I don't think there's much of a difference between white and black, but my wife swears that white is better than dark because it doesn't show the dirt as much as the dark colors.

Your experience with the white matches with what I thought.

I just noticed something cool. The first character on that German license plate (the "O") has a flat bottom like the M Sport steering wheel in the i5. Nice match!
