I must say that Oxide Grey works really well on G60 lines. Very elegant

would you say it looks like champagne or light gold color in person?

BMW doesn't offer a silver 530i/540i in the US... since I don't really care for how they make the bottom of the rear bumper all black(regardless of body color), I ended up ordering sapphire black. That way, everything is nice and black. However, if the oxide grey is a nice champagne or light gold color like what BMW 5-series back in the 1990s, then I may change my mind.

Looks totally gray.
Unfortunately it's too gray for me, so I chose RED.

It is a gray with a brown hint under certain lighting.

Very nice - looks like a slightly warmer version of the the space grey I had on my 2010 3 series.

I have an OG G20 in my neighborhood and it does resemble Champagne paints. Maybe less yellow, but rather a warm Silver.
As you mentioned there is no other Silver option, so this would be first choice for those looking for a silver tone.

Thanks!

I took a chance with Space Silver when I ordered my X1. In most BMW online configurator pictures, it did not look very silver, at least not the traditional bright silver. When it arrived, I was actually quite happy with it. It has a different tone depending on lighting and the angle...

Perhaps I'll take a chance with oxide grey for the 530i that I ordered... who knows, I may be pleasantly surprised again!

Silver is such a nice color. Too bad bmw Malaysia do not offer silver anymore after F10 model.

Unfortunately it’s one of those colours where the harmony between the rear bumper and body colour is way off! Shame…

I saw that, too. Very noticeable. It might just be a light angle in the photo. I stay away from silver tone cars. Every silver vehicle I have owned was hit because they couldn’t see me.

I really like this color!
I have to admit though, the two tone with the bumpers being black on these newer models is throwing me off. Imo most of the new models look better in a darker color or black because of this.

That was exactly my thinking. Thus my order for black with a smoke white veganza interior. I love interiors that are bright, open and airy looking. The black plastic pieces that are so jarring on the G60 are really toned down when the exterior sheet metal is black. They blend in nicely. Otherwise I do really like that oxide silver. But not on this car sadly.
