Congrats again
![]() For the consumption, what mode do you typically drive in? There's a range test video on YouTube where they ended up with 521km/325mi range, 20.7kW/h average consumption. They used efficient mode and it's mostly highway driving at 100km/h. |

I just did a 142 miles highway drive. Used personal (comfort) mode. 20 inch wheel. Eneded up 2.7mi/kwh. Not the greatest number, but higher than official EPA's 2.63mi/kwh.

![]() Really a cool color. I took Carbonblack metallic. Let's see how it looks in reality. |

Color looks awesome. Wheels are fire. Why do people say the frozen colors are hard to maintain? What happens to the paint if not maintained properly to that standard? I assume you don’t have to worry about swirl marks, so what’s the issue?

Also, it’s hard to color match a frozen paint if you ever get in a car accident. Lastly, you can’t polish frozen paint if you get swirls/light scratches. |

Yeah, I'd love a matte color but the downsides (especially experiencing winter for 6-7 months a year) make it an impossibility. I couldn't not be able to use automatic washes and then worry about scratches or door dings (I heard door ding removal doesn't look as good on matte paint, either). It would literally have to be a California garage queen in order to probably keep it looking good.

Looks great! Regarding range... it's definitely different... but I have come to love it. I mainly charge at home now, and my wife has an ICE car (X7) that we'll take on trips when it's the 5 of us plus dog, but she does most of the refueling in that car. I literally cannot remember the last time I had to go to a gas station... and just remember it was filthy and it was a PITA to stop at the start of my trip to get gas the last time I do recall doing it.
I've taking a few 600-800 mile round trips in my EV, and have not had any issues. I will charge to 100% just before, have my coffee ready when I'm leaving, and have a single stop on the ~300-400 journey there where I get another coffee, walk around a bit, go to the bathroom and maybe grab a snack, and my car is at 80%+ by the time I'm done. It actually made me more efficient on those 1-stop trips as a whole since I'm pre-planning. If I was in a ICE car, I would have had to stop for gas (maybe 5 min instead of 20-30), but would have stopped 1-2 more times for 20+ minutes somewhere other than the gas station for coffee/bathroom/snacks... I then make my way to the hotel, charge overnight, and repeat on the way back the next day. Again, it works for me... but I would never drive more than 400 miles in a single day (would rather fly in that case), so if someone likes to take 7+ hour each way road trips often or doesn't have a way to charge at home... I could see them complaining.

Honestly though- no one is ever really excited to have paint blended. The “frozen” is almost like a solid single stage. What would be great is multiple layers of “frozen” so the scratch could be sanded to match. No clue how it could Be done… |

Car looks great…although I don’t see a purpose in buying frozen colors because they are so difficult to manage. Just buy the car in its color and wrap it matte clear. So much easier and beneficial

Yes, and you get special instructions to wash off by hand bird droppings immediately. Not doing that is impacting the 'mat' paint effect locally. The 'mat' effect is also fading over time and also depending the exposure to UV. So it's a peach to look at, but nasty to maintain.

Why didn't they put seat pockets behind the front seats? Is there storage elsewhere back there? Or is it part of the minimalistic theme?

What is the point of those, if you don’t mind me asking. I’ve been driving 50 years and have never stored anything in a rear seat pocket. I can’t even think of anything to put there. When I drove an RX-8, I had a little cubby to store a motor oil bottle, where the pull down cup holder thing is nowadays.

That's a nice spec & color choice. It makes this new body style actually look semi appealing.
