Not bad but definitely wanting to see how aggressive they can make the M5T look as this is pretty ho-hum.

Already looks way better than the Sedan.

Nothing will ever top the F11, though.

overhangs are pretty lengthy... wonder if they ever increase the wheelbase on M cars? would love to see this with shorter overhands and more width. that would look mighty!

Anything wagony gets my interest.
The front looks tallish like the sedan design.

I hope i5 version looks good!

What a difference the new tail lights make. Much better than the Camry-esque sedan lights

I would love to see those taillights as an LCI in the sedan but the reality is they just change the graphics inside the pre-existing housing vs a housing redesign

Irrespective of the shape and visual details, M5 touring will mostly like land somewhere between outstanding and stellar.

The US Market needs a new wagon! Subaru Outback literally owns 87% (albeit small volume). Is such model feasible at the $45k USD base level? If it needs to be $60k+ the market shrinks even further.

Here's a comparison, sedan vs. wagon.

Most of the visual difference comes from how the tail light slants at the end.
Also note that the perspective on each picture is likely slightly different: the sedan picture has a shorter focal length so it appears closer.

A 550e wagon will be an ideal road trip vehicle. I'll be very tempted to get it if something similar ever comes to the US.

I like both 3 and 5 series in standard shape over M sport for the first time in like 20 years. Crazy!

Seen enough of M cars parked now on streets in stockholm which are exposed to winters to know that the black trim turns into a completely shabby looking bluish and purple shade with some bizzare swirl textures. I really hope BMW addressed this on this car but must be seen over time to know. Or get silver trim, which I also like now way more than before.

If the M5 Touring end up being sold in the us market I don’t see why they couldn’t at least bring the regular touring to spread the certification cost. Since the ICE options seem to be very limited in the regular 5 serie the i5 is really getting interesting.
