G60 i5 pics from the Munich IAA Auto Show and BMW Welt.

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Visited the IAA in Munich this week along with the obligatory BMW welt, sharing some pics relevant for the G60 crowd here.
Hope to show some details that I've not seen posted elsewhere
Enjoy.

now at the IAA, the M60 was generating interest the whole time.
as people were playing with switches , I noticed that the fog light is the small led strip in the middle of the bottom of end rear end.(just the middle third illuminated - does that mean reverse lights are either side of it?

and this is not G60 related but spotted in Munich. I think this might be the 1 series lCI - anyone confirm that?

Nice pics, thanks for sharing.

The white LED at the bottom center of the rear bumper does seem to function as the reverse light (skip to 12:18)

The new 5er has grown so much in length, BMW could fit another sedan between the 3er and 5er. 13-14 inches difference in length now.

I'm surprised I find myself somewhat preferring the cerium gray grille as oppose to the extended shadowline grille which I always go with. The frontend of that red wrapped i5 M60 looks good

You're not alone. I started to like them more recently with the X5 and X3 LCI M-lite cars too.

Just wait, the next 3er will grow a few inches to fill the size gap.

First, thanks AP for sharing the pics. Can’t wait to see this in person in Munich in a couple weeks.

Just watched the video and noticed the manual headrest. Is that just on certain seats? My G30 with comfort seats has electric headrest height adjustment. I recall even my E39 had electric headrests. More content reduction?

I guess they are moving away from the current centre console design like on the X5 etc where everything is on one level?

Pity as I like/prefer that.

It’s so different. I wouldn’t say it’s ugly. But it’s so different it almost appears cartoonish.
