How about supporting your legacy M cars. Ask any E30 M3 driver how many NLA parts for their classic BMW and BMW Classic no longer make or support starting with the soul of the whole thing, Engines. We in North America can not buy a S14b25 because it does not comply with US specs and BMW will not make any 2.3L for the US market where the largest amount of them is present and on the road.

Are you always this miserable? All you post about is how miserable BMW's are. News flash, you don't have to own one or even be on this forum. ALL new cars transition away from older cars, regardless of brand. What makes BMW M different from every other car manufacturer in regards to evolution.

Safety regulations are making cars heavier, bigger, more "nannies".

North American's in particular are the reason that SUVs are popular. Is it a far stretch that manufacturers are producing fast and M SUVs to make customers happy?

Customers are wanting more and more technology in their lives including cars. Which has the side effect of causing the cars to be bigger and heavier.

I'm not a fan of newer cars, I own a e93 M3. But I also have no hate on newer cars, because I understand where the manufacturer is having to deal with.

What you call miserable I call disappointment. I'm hardly the only person here that thinks BMW has lost their way. Yes they are selling more cars but that is relative based on overall car sales and contributing factors like China and EV mania. Odd the BMW that seems to garner the most attention and praise is the new M2. Why because it is the closest to the pre 2021 version.

My answer was to grab a 2020 M4 CS and my next move is likely to be in the Porsche direction.

Then please go to Porsche. You'll see that they are doing similar things.
The world revolves around money, selling more cars equals more money. No company is immune to that fact.

BMW M calls them SAV's = X3/4M and X5/6M. You need to take one for a drive. You will be amazed at what they can do. I know I was shocked enough that I bought one and have never looked back.

Oh FFS this again.

Yes, BMW still races cars
Yes, this is good for all of us
Yes, there's an XM
No, it should not have the letter M anywhere near it
No, BMW does not make cars as driver oriented as they used to
Yes, this stinks for a lot of us
No, you have no choice in the matter

Like so much in life, it's picking the least of the evils

BMW continues to make a clear model distinction between M cars and M Performance cars. If it has anything more than M and a single digit (M3, M5, etc.) in the model number it is not an M car. This can be confusing to those who don’t have a lot of interest in BMWs, but for those who follow this forum I would think it quite clear.

For example, I have an M340i and it it not an M car. It’s also not a fake M, since it’s a factory M performance model. X3Ms and other SUVs fall into the same category. It’s really not that complicated.

The Bmw M cars seem to be doing pretty good around the Nurburgring.

Bmw started wh@&ing out M badges when they created m-sport. I personally like m-sport have e90 m-sport and f10 m-sport. They are not M just sport. Middle ground for a daily driver. If they called it something else today seeing M on the back of bmw would still mean it's something special and not just M///arketing.

Call it s-sport or something else

E90 M-Sport never had badge tuning that's a reason many were fine with it. The factory has been doing M-sport or Technic versions all the way back to the e12 days with the 5er. They were just a up contented version of a sport most of the time you got a body kit or nice spoiler.

BMW has just decided to AMGize M for profits and I can't blame that, but I am upset with lack of support.

As far as I'm concerned the real M cars are M2, M3, M4, M5. The rest may be nice but is propaganda.

That is a statement I can agree with.

I think the funniest thing was when BMW stuck M badges all over my 318ti.

Don`t forget the 1M . I think the 1M deserves to be on that list.

For me, the day BMW went turbo on production M cars is the day the magic died.
