I was a hardcore Benz fan and kind of fell in love recentley after a while a year and half ago or so. Anyways, now they've got the new C63 AMG out, and damn is that car snice. At long last they're making cars like the use to, and this time it looks as if AMG has built in some real character into the C-class AMG's handling(AMG's in general for that matter).

What sickness!!!!!!:headbang: Too bad I don't and won't have $60k + to spend on a car.... at the moment. :biggrin: I'd take a C300 for sure though, if I really had to have a Benz, good thing I'm more a Bimmer buff. I know i'll like the E90 M3 sedan more though.

Reviews for the E92 M2 will be out in days, as a matter of fact one of Evo's editorial staff was cool enough to post some of his thoughts from the E92 M3's press launch and drive on M3post.com, check it out! Major cool stuff for hardcore Bimmer philes, though a little vague on the juicy bits.

I believe I am in the same boat as you Deutsch. I've always loved Mercedes. They are so classy and interiors are so nice. The brute force of AMG's have intrigued me since day 1. After looking various internet forums. I find that 98% of people LOVES the look of this thing. Handling is suppose to be SUPERB also. Heres my gripe:

As much as I love Merc, I'm fascinated with BMW more. How they made a 192hp convertible make my heart race is beyond me. Anyways, the C63 will outpower the M3 by over 40horsepower. That is NO JOKE. I wonder if BMW is worried. I mean could a C-class unseat an M3?? It definitely unseats it in the looks category. It is downright stunning. I'm so worried for BMW. But then again, this is what they DO.

We will have to wait for the full spec sheet to see what the story is on weight. That 6.3 liter V8 isnt the lightest engine in the world, nor does it help to have a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Keep in mind, though, that throughout numerous M3 generations, the M3 has been underpowered in comparison. The E46 was underpowered ever since the C55 came out, especially so with the RS4, etc.

I think this was done purposely by MB's PR/Marketing people to piss on the launch of the E92 M3, knowing that they have a well executed product that can actually take on a class leading icon, for once.
