The new i5 at Goodwood (+ hill run video)

BMW working their witchcraft on me. The car is growing on me and starting to like it a lot. Sweet clip of them running it in Goodwood. Love the color.

Looks good in carbon black with big wheels. The rear has good presence too.

I don't understand why they use shiney plastic for the front grilles just looks cheap. Too much of it as well the front is just a plastic mess.

Rear looks OK and it wouldn't actually take much to make the front cleaner and make for an over all handsome car.

Same reason all car manufacturers are doing it - reduces production costs.

I like the car in general. One of my issues is they are putting more and more of that piano black plastic on exterior. That’s stuff is sooooo soft. It just gets beat up by normal use too much.

it has definitely grown on me - while i love my LCI, when i stare at it now dare I say it looks a bit "outdated" to me.

I am still not a fan of all the black plastic that is being used now in the front/rear of new BMW's, IF i end up with this car one day it will definitely be in sapphire black. This color has really grown on me, has so much depth and will disguise a lot of that black plastic.

I think they make these wheels to improve aerodynamics and improve efficiency

There are definitely better designs to fulfill that purpose.

Agree. It ages poorly on the i3

Looks like Imperial Blue and not Carbon Black to me — but just might be the light.

When I had the PPF done on my i4, I had the grill done in matte PPF.

I also had the pillar plastic between the doors done with PPF.

I'm warming up to it but when there are pics side-by-side with the current 5er, this looks very chunky and luxo-barge like rather than sleek sport sedan.
