i5 what are you trading in?

Curious what those of us moving into the i5 m60 are coming out of?

I’ve got a m550 and wouldn’t dream of going i5, but I’m sure BMW marketing team think it’s a natural progression.

Will probs get out of our X7 -- by Feb 2024 we will be 2 yrs into 3 yr lease and I highly doubt i'll have trouble offloading the X7 early

I tried my best to like the i5M60 but I will wait until its mid life cycle refresh. I changed my mind at the last second and I traded my 2018 750i in for a Porsche Taycan 4s. It is hands down the best cars I have ever owned besides my e30 325i. I am also now sold on ev cars and I don’t worry about the sub 300 mile range because I can charge at home every two nights for under $4.

I am going from a 2021 M5 to an i5, Q8 e-tron, or the like. Going to save me $1000+ a month in gas and reducing the payment and insurance.

2020 M550iX. I absolutely love my car, and told anyone who knows me that I couldn't think of anything that I would trade for save perhaps a M850gc. Then I got the pre-order marketing email, did a bit of research (as best as could be done with the limited info available) and decided to go for an EV. I commute 30 miles each way miles in Northern Virginia/DC traffic. I won't switching gas pumps for home charging. And if I really miss the V8, I'll steal my wife's X5 M60
