Photo Essay: Obama's Inauguration Concert
The March:
All bridges coming into D.C. from the Virginia side were closed. All Streets near the mall were closed. The only subway stop open for the public was Foggy Bottom right next to George Washington University. The hike to the lincoln Memorial was about 3/4 to 1 mile. When you have what seemed to be at least a million people attending the side walks aren't big enough to fit everyone so people took over the streets: The Security: There had to have been over 50 military hummers blocking off the roads around the Mall. There had to have been over 25 tow trucks ready to tow your ass if you park where you shouldn't. There had to have been 300+ military police officers watching your very move... The Protesters: The Crowd: Enjoy. |

Sweet, I was going to get to go tomorrow. We have two tickets. Unfortunately, second semester starts for me tomorrow so I can't go. I let my dad borrow my XSi and so hopefully he will grab some good shots.

I was flipping over to HBO to watch the concert during commercials of the football games and happened to catch Tiger Woods introduce the Navy Glee Club.
All I can say is, wow, Tiger really needs to take some classes on public speaking. Especially for someone who is one of the most popular sports figures...I'm almost convinced he's an android. Jamie Foxx reciting part of Mr. Obama's speech from election night was spot on. He did the best impersonation I've seen yet. |

Other than that the best performance of the night goes to Garth Brooks. He was electric and got everyone dancing when he sang "Shout" by Otis Day and the Knights. I'm not a country boy by any means but Garth totally killed it |
