ROFL! Check this out! LOL...
This was during a anime show in Japan. There were too many people on the escalator the escalator actually went backwards! A guy even jumped off the escalator. LOL...

what the hell???! theres like 1000 people on that thing!... is that what really happened? i mean like it looks like theres a line waiting to go on it haha. i thought it was a protest or something at first

This is basically what happened: People were trying to get onto the escalator to go to a show. The escalator suddenly lost power and started sliding backwards (It might have been overloaded). That's why people were sliding backwards.

So that's an escalator not an elevator. That explains the "going backwards" comment. Nasty stuff.
