Talking R8 Quattro failure

Some cat took Audi's marketing campaign to heart (Quattro allows traction everywhere, anytime, Sir Isaac Newton be damned). As you can see from the pics....he thought that the magic of Quattro didn't relegate him to the domain of mortals where bridges were needed to cross over water....

Driver was heard saying "I don't understand, I have Quattro. Quattro damn it."

(Footie, hope you are having a great holiday mate! )

Damn, it skipped across 50' of water and almost made it to the other side...unintentional upside to an enclosed underbody. A 40hp Johnson outboard and he would cleared it.

i dont understand why you hate on quattro so much. its what audis are known for. rather appealing to the non-enthusiast market.

It's definitely an old story. I never did hear if it was caused avoiding something or simple driver error, the only thing which is true is a beautiful car was wrecked that day.

TB, it's only marketing that makes Audi call the R8's awd system 'Quattro', it's not and you should know this.

P.S.
Also, was this accident not during a test drive?

Ouch. I wonder where the carbon fiber side blades flew off to. I hope the owner was okay.

The Carbon Fiber blade was used as a rudder.
